 This is the perfect getaway spot - quiet, clean, and comfortable, in beautiful natural surroundings, with lots of places to explore nearby. I kept thinking this would be the perfect setting to get married (if I weren't already married!). We had a comfy sleep in our immaculate room, then ate a delicious and hearty breakfast. Then we went into Mahone Bay for a nice long wander in the outdoor market and shops. The town is quaint and picturesque. On another day we visited Lunenburg. There are many other things to do; Frauke and Mike (your wonderful hosts) can give you lots of ideas. My only "complaint" is that we couldn't have stayed a few days longer! 

 Spent the weekend and loved everything about it. Beautiful, peaceful setting. Cozy rooms with everything we needed. Quiet and tranquil dock on the river where we spent many hours. Our breakfast was fresh, delicious and beautifully served. Our hosts were amazing. So welcoming and friendly it was like visiting old friends. Even the pets Charlie and Max greeted us with kindness. I highly recommend and will definitely return. 

  We have been at River Ridge Lodge three times now. It's always a pleasure to visit the welcoming River Ridge Lodge in its magnificent setting next to Martins River and the close by beautiful Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, and Chester. The owners and hosts of the River Ridge Lodge, Frauke and Mike, are lovely people. Their service and help with planning your day are remarkable. The breakfast is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented each morning.
