Self-check-in Due to COVID-19, we will facilitate self-check-ins until further notice. Our check-in times below still apply unless agreed otherwise. Instructions for self-check-in will be communicated by email or text, and we will also be able to communicate with you when you arrive, of course, practicing physical distancing. Check-in: 4-6 pm Check-out: 11 am It helps our daily life greatly if we know approximate when you will arrive, please let us know your approximate check-in time. If you arrive at the airport that day and plan to come straight here, you might want to give us your flight details, that way we can check if the flight is delayed and you don't have to worry.
In case your scheduled arrival time has changed, please notify us since we plan our day, including running errands, around check-in times. We do understand that sometimes it may prove impossible to contact us, but a phone call or email is very much appreciated, if at all possible.
Early and late check-ins
Please notify us if you would like to check-in early or anticipate a later arrival. We will accommodate early check-in times when possible.
For very late check-ins, we can arrange for self-check-in, if necessary. However, we will try to welcome you in person and make sure you have everything you need during your stay. If we don’t know that you will be arriving before or after 4 pm-6 pm, you might arrive at an empty house since we do NOT have a 24-hour front desk.
Due to COVID-19, we have a temporary cancellation policy in effect for bookings made until August 31, 2020:
Our regular cancellation period is 14 days - if a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival, then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.
In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date), the full cost of the booking is charged.
When you reserve a room or rooms, we agree to turn away all other requests for the room(s) you reserved, guaranteeing to hold them for the day(s) you requested. We want our policy to be fair for our guests, yet we also need to prevent loss of income to our B&B by cancellations. We cannot be responsible for travel delays, health issues, inclement weather, or early departures.
Due to our limited number of rooms, cancellations affect us greatly, so when situations arise that necessitate a cancellation, we sympathize. However, we adhere strictly to our cancellation policy.
Smoking is prohibited inside the building. We ask that you be considerate of other guests if you do choose to smoke on the guest porch, enjoy on the front porch if no other guests are bothered, and the windows and door are closed. Otherwise, please step away from the building. Please use the provided receptacles.
River Ridge Lodge reserves the right to charge the credit card on file $250 fee to cover the cost of deep cleaning and/or replacing upholstered furniture, window treatments, rugs, and bedding if it is determined that a guest has violated this smoking policy.
There is ample free parking available at the lodge. The guest parking is close to the guest entrance on the left side right after the gate.
We adore (most) animals and there are a dog and a cat on-site in the owner’s quarters; however, to ensure the comfort of all our guests and to be able to accommodate guests with allergies, we are unable to accommodate guests' pets. We will happily work with you to make arrangements for your pet at a local boarding facility.
Should your room not be ready yet or you would like to enjoy the property/area before check-in or after check-out, we gladly offer to store your luggage and allow you to park your car on the premise free of charge.
River Ridge Lodge is a private place for rest and relaxation for our registered guests. Should you, however, anticipate guests during your stay, please discuss with us first.
